Na software update geen indexing meerPosted onInitieel kocht ik een Powernode in 2017 omdat Sonos geen HiRes kon spelen.
Ik heb een Synology Nas om vooral eigen muziek te spelen, dus geen externe streaming.
Positief:
- fantastisch geluid
- eenmaal de muziek door de redelijk primitieve indexing geraakt is, is het heel handig om de laatste nieuwe muziek te vinden en te spelen
Negatief:
- de powernode is gemaakt van een soort rubberachtig materiaal dat na een aantal jaren volledig plakkerig en vuil werd
- het indexing script stopt gewoon bij een gevonden fout, bv. een tag fout of verkeerde file naam. Het probleem is dat er geen fout rapport is en dat je zelf maar moet zoeken waar de fout zit in je bibliotheek. Je kan telkens een support issue openen maar dat kost wat tijd om opgelost te raken. Het heeft mij initieel weken gekost om de Powernode al mijn files correct te laten indexeren (ongeveer 100.000 files).
- het grote probleem kwam einde 2024 te voorschijn. Na een software update werkte de indexering totaal niet meer. Blijkbaar een gekend probleem bij support en de reden was dat ik mijn Powernode met ethernet verbonden had. (support: "Unfortunately, the latest firmware version did affect certain hardware components which is why the index is not able to complete over Ethernet. Our team is addressing this issue for an upcoming firmware release. ") . Geen enkele mogelijkhid om een downgrade te doen, ze stellen voor om een nieuwe share aan te maken en daar enkele files in te zetten zodat ik toch wat muziek kan spelen...
I initially bought a Powernode in 2017 because Sonos couldn't play HiRes.
I have a Synology Nas to mainly play my own music, so no external streaming.
Positive:
- fantastic sound
- once the music has gotten through the fairly primitive indexing, it is very useful to find and play the latest new music
Negative:
- the power node is made of some kind of rubbery material that became completely sticky and dirty after a number of years
- the indexing script simply stops when an error is found, e.g. a tag error or wrong file name. The problem is that there is no error report and you have to find where the error is in your library. You can always open a support issue, but that takes some time to resolve. It initially took me weeks to get the Powernode to index all my files correctly (about 100,000 files).
- the major problem emerged at the end of 2024. After a software update, the indexing no longer worked at all. Apparently a known problem with support and the reason was that I had connected my Powernode to Ethernet. (support: "Unfortunately, the latest firmware version did affect certain hardware components which is why the index is not able to complete over Ethernet. Our team is addressing this issue for an upcoming firmware release.") . No way to downgrade, they suggest creating a new share and putting some files in it so I can still play some music... -
Hifi kwaliteitPosted onRecensie na 1 jaar bezit: Komend van een analoge non streaming 15 jaar oude NAD receiver en dito cd speler de oversteek gemaakt naar streaming. Gekozen voor Bluesound met de NAD relatie. Goede keuze. Vol geluid met netwerk kabel, zeer goede OS app. Set up fluitje van een cent. Geen luistermoeheid. Weergave met van den Hull kabels en Hepta Spring. Minpunt is de HDMI verbinding met mijn LG tv, dit blijkt overgings meer een LG issue te zijn dan Bluesound.
(Review after 1 year of ownership: Coming from an analog non-streaming 15-year-old NAD receiver and ditto CD player, I made the transition to streaming. Chosen for Bluesound with the NAD relationship. Good choice. Full sound with network cable, very good OS app. Set up is a piece of cake. No listening fatigue. Rendering with van den Hull cables and Hepta Spring. The downside is the HDMI connection to my LG TV, which turns out to be more of an LG issue than Bluesound.) -

Prima apparaat met prima geluidPosted onHeel blij met deze compacte versterker en streaming. Mijn geluidservaring heeft een boost gekregen. Door de prijsstelling is de Powernode voor veel mensen bereikbaar. Het enige nadeel is het feit dat in mijn taal, Nederlands, een goede stapsgewijze handleiding totaal ontbreekt. Zonder de deskundige hulp van mijn leverancier Botman, was het mij niet gelukt om het te installeren. Dat moet dus veel beter.
(Very happy with this compact amplifier and streaming. My sound experience has gotten a boost. The pricing makes the Powernode accessible to many people. The only disadvantage is the fact that my language, Dutch, completely lacks a good step-by-step manual. Without the expert help of my supplier Botman, I would not have been able to install it. So that has to be much better.)

Compact with amazing soundPosted onA fantastic compact but powerful streaming amplifier! I love the integrating of my Tidal account into the BluOS app for great hi-res streaming. Also, the sound from my tv has never sounded this good!
And the “Follow me” function lets me easily transport my currently playing music from my Powernode to the Pulse Flex 2i in my bedroom! -
Great amplifiers for music.Posted onThey are easy to use amplifiers. Sound is crisp. I used them with Dali Oberon 5 and later Focal 906. They are awesome for music. For movies I prefer a system where I can have center speaker. Therefore I won’t recommend them if you want to add center speaker later in your installation. Some audiophiles may like natural sound of settings of Yamaha.

Very goodPosted onI am really happy to have powernode paired with Focal aria 906 and sub svs micro 1000...Class D amplifier not bad for this price range. Nothing to complain. Awaiting for next generation with a little bit more power and lcd display.

Prima apparaatPosted onPrima versterker met ingebouwde streamer. Geluid goede kwaliteit en samen met Vault het hart van het geluidssysteem. Voldoende vermogen.

Minpunt: trekt redelijk veel stof aan!
(Excellent amplifier with built-in streamer. Good quality sound and, together with Vault, the heart of the sound system. Sufficient power. Nicely compact. Downside: attracts quite a lot of dust!)
