Dealers and installers can now easily integrate BluOS enabled devices with URC’s Total Control system for wireless whole-home music control.
PICKERING, ON, CANADA—Lenbrook, developers of the BluOS® music operating system and parent company of Bluesound and NAD Electronics, today announced their partnership with URC™ and introduced its first two-way BluOS control module for integration with the URC Total Control® system. Supported on BluOS enabled devices from Bluesound and NAD Electronics, the leaders in wireless hi-res audio distribution, the new driver allows users to seamlessly control music playback from URC Total Control interfaces including the new TDC-7100 Tabletop Touchscreen Controller and TKP-7600 In-Wall Touchscreen, TRC-1080 and TRC-820 Handheld Remotes, Total Control Mobile Apps and more.
The new two-way driver passed interoperability tests for full certification and will allow dealers and installers to offer fundamental music playback controls within the intuitive and easy URC interface, including:
- Playback controls: Play, Pause, Skip Tracks
- Volume Controls: Up and Down
- Now Playing Screen: Full Metadata with Album Cover Art
- Play Queue Display: Current, Previous, and Next Track
- Preset Selection: Select and Load Presets
“We’re happy to see the forward movement of our integration with the URC Total Control system,” said Ted Wiles, BluOS Product Manager at Lenbrook. “This first driver represents a toe in the water as far as our partnership with URC goes. More importantly, it demonstrates our commitment to the custom installation market as we continue to add control partners to our platform.”
