SMART ACOUSTICS
With Dirac Live Room Correction as an available upgrade, you can use sophisticated room correction technology and measure room acoustics to eliminate standing waves, reverberations, and other unwanted distortions. A calibration kit with a high-sensitivity mic is also required and available from Bluesound with additional purchase.

Great vor HiFi & HeadFiPosted onI finally managed to convince myself to stop using Tidal via Bluetooth aptX HD, as the interference on the wireless network was too much. With the Node, Tidal now works flawlessly over Ethernet, and the numerous Hi-Res tracks sound simply fantastic through both my wired headphones and my Dali Opticon 6 floorstanding speakers. Dirac isn't in use yet, but I'm sure it will only bring out even more nuances of brilliant sound from my setup.

Ethernet Unlocks True Blue PotentialPosted onHad my node, in white, for two years. The elegance of the control screen is fantastic. the preset dots for the mellow mix stream and one for the analog input is what I use. HDMI is KEY for an AV setup. BUT the audio quality and app performance issues re PURELY a wifi issue. The bulesound app with today was so slow I'd always jsut use tidal connect from my phone to find and play music. sounded good enough. Wired with ethernet to try and fix a HomeKit issue I thought my speakers and amp got a 20K upgrade! the fidelity is stunning. Something about the wifi radio being on must interfere with the performance of the DAC. The coherence and the shimmer on the same exact system I've listed to for two years is astounding. WiFi is like having a supercar but driving only to the grocery store. Ethernet lets you take that car to the autobahn. It's essential to use ethernet to be stunned by the node.

My first streaming device.Posted onImpressed with the overall quality/ price. When I got C47 Mac with internal I switched off node dac to run on preamp. Better sound more open. CD and records sound great as well at lower volume. Becoming lazy now play it 95% time. Downside, Unit dtops out few times a week looking
for itself. -
Regret lack of researchPosted onI seriously regret my lack of research before buying this product, and just reading the great reviews. The Sound is good, but some basic lack of functionality indicated poor design. There is currently NO Linux app, NO Web based music control option, and NO Power off function. All these indicate poor firmware/hardware design and are available on a Raspberry PI running Volumino. I never expected such basic functions not to be available on a device at this price.

Awesome SaucePosted onI'm 'downgrading' from the Eversolo A8 because I switched out my Amplifier and was unable to use my subwoofer with the new setup. This gives me everything I want/need: Great streaming experience and quality, Room correction with Dirac, subwoofer output and ability to hook up my turntable! All for less than $1000. What more could you ask for? Perfect for me. With the Dirac optimized, I have incredible soundstage: left - right & front - back. Amazing. Thank you!

(Worthless connection with the bluos app, which does not recognize the player, sometimes it does but more often it does not, resetting does not help either, connection from the spotify app does work, for me at least no more Bluesound app)

Rich, vibrant and engagingPosted onPurchased this device to use only as a streamer and wow does it deliver… on the budget end I’ve tried the native Tidal app, Audirvana Studio (kernel streaming), and the WiiM Ultra (returned after a few days as it sounded worse than Audirvana)… the Bluesound Node is significantly more detailed, engaging, and present with a rich, accurate sound stage - this is playing the same Tidal Hi Res sources across all mentioned platforms - I can assure you that notwithstanding what a lot of people say, the same digital source can sound very different depending on just the transport - I’m pairing the Node with a Chord Qutest DAC. I also own a pair of Focal Utopia headphones which I connect directly to the Node (using the internal DAC) - I have not used my OEM Focal Arche Amp / DAC since acquiring the Node which says a lot! The headphones have finally been “unlocked”… Honestly believe the Node cannot be beat at this price point. Well done Bluesound. Cant wait to tune it using Dirac room correction. NG - Ontario, Canada
