Technology
Bluesound combines the forces of music and technology together in an ecosystem that delivers the best audio quality possible. To achieve this synergy, Bluesound employs various technologies, including advanced amplification technologies from NAD Electronics, and world-renowned acoustic technologies from PSB Speakers. The end result is a innovative player that delivers rich, detailed sound.
Harnessing the power of BluOS®— advanced multi-room audio software that allows you to access and stream lossless music to every room in your home—users can locate music anywhere on a home network, cloud music service or Internet radio station, and share it with any BluOS enabled music system. BluOS also allows custom integrators to connect, manage and control networked music in a smarthome with support for 3rd party integrations.

Below are just some of the advantages of using BluOS
Voice
Bluesound now supports voice control. Amazon’s Alexa is the first voice integration for BluOS, allowing you to use your voice to explore music services, select presets, adjust volume levels, switch up songs in different rooms, or even group your Players together and play your music in perfect sync throughout the house. Simply connect an Alexa device to your Bluesound system and command your music like never before.
Airplay
With AirPlay 2 on Bluesound 2i, you can connect multiple Players around the house and have them communicate with each other through AirPlay. Listen to your music in perfect sync as you walk room-to-room, or play different songs in different rooms, and control everything on your iOS device. You can even say the song you want to listen to and where and let Siri take control of your music experience.
Roon Ready
Roon brings all your music together, so you don’t have to worry about where it’s stored, what format it’s in, or where you stream it from. Roon supports music files stored on internal and external hard drives and NAS, your iTunes library, live radio stations, and streamed content from TIDAL and Qobuz.
Certified by Audiophiles
High-resolution music tracks are either 24-bit/96kHz or 24-bit/192kHz, and contain up to 6.5x more data than standard CDs, letting you hear all the detail of your favorite music in superior quality. With full support for hi-res audio on all Bluesound players, listeners can stream uncompressed WAV, FLAC and ALAC music files over their existing WiFi network or a connected USB device.
